Founded in 2002, Anhui International Studies University is a private institution primarily established as a vocational school for foreign languages. It was only granted to provide full-time undergraduate programs in 2011. It is currently the only specialized university to offer such programs in Hefei province. Moreover, the school is situated in one of the most attractive views of the region, with mountains and protected areas of nature surrounding its campus.
