Moutai Institute (MTI) is an atypical institute that offers undergraduate studies for prospective students who wants to pursue a career in the alcohol industry. MTI was formed in 2017 and now has about 13 undergraduate programs, with most of its courses focused on liquor-making education. The school’s primary goal is to cultivate professionals that would work in the liquor industry, explicitly supporting the state-owned company, Kweichow Moutai group. It is continually refining its teaching and research to serve and provide more comprehensive study programs to its students.
