The University of Sudbury, now renamed Université de Sudbury, is in a phase of change. The university has transitioned to a French-language university in response to the needs of the Francophone community in Ontario, whom the university is committed to serving. Originally established as Collège du Sacré-Coeur, the institute’s education philosophy, inspired by the Jesuit tradition of its founding fathers, emphasizes a strong commitment to community service and engagement.
