70% of Harvard students receive some form of financial aid. A Harvard education is more affordable than a state school for 90% of American families.

Eligibility for aid

Undergraduate

Harvard College Griffin Financial Aid Office

  • Regardless of your citizenship or when you are applying, you will need to submit a CSS Profile and an IDOC Packet.

 

  • US Citizens and Permanent Residents will also need to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is a free form and if you only wish to apply for federal aid it is the only form you need to submit.

Deadlines

Please note that it usually takes 3-5 days from the date you submit the CSS Profile to get access to IDOC.

We complement our need-based fellowship program with a variety of fellowship options suited to different student backgrounds and interests.

The Robert S. Kaplan (MBA 1983) Life Sciences Fellowship
Open to students with an interest in a science-based career.

Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowship
Open to students demonstrating non-profit leadership.

Junior Achievement Fellowship
Open to students with Junior Achievement experience.

Forward Fellowship
Beginning with the Class of 2020, this new fellowship supports students from lower-income backgrounds who have carried significant financial burdens or obligations.
